FALLOUT 4 BETTER LOOKING NPC MOD
Modder ThatSpartacusGuy seems to be in the same camp as me, and they’ve created this mod to give the Vault Security Armor a bit more grit and realism. Vault-Tec Security ArmorĪmong my least favorite changes done to Fallout’s aesthetic after New Vegas are those done to vault-related apparel, specifically security armor. Whether you’re looking for the ultimate armor to make you feel like an Avenger, or just want to make the game a bit more risqué by modifying everyone’s outfits, someone has just the mod for you. Luckily people realized this and modders of Bethesda games have had many years to perfect the art of tending to your every desire. And enough alternative armors are laying around to keep you busy for a while.īut eventually cosplaying a Raider will get old. I mean sure, wearing the vault jumpsuit and a random Power Armor may be enough to get you through your first playthrough. So screw it, I had to go back to FO4 despite spending like 3 days straight just modding. As any fan of Fallout games can tell you, the vanilla features will only get you so far. But low and behold, look at the graphics.

FO4 and Skyrim just have too many mods I had to spend hours to fix and redownload before I can even play. I loaded Sims 3 as the very first game so I could enjoy some casual gaming off hours without any heavy commitment (Sims is those type of games). It had been almost a year since I touched any game. Same thing last month when I loaded Sims 3 to play. How did I put up with them? But way back then, Crusader was "so good" in graphics.

But recently I just looked back at some of the screenshots I made of those game, and personally ran Crusader (since its free now if you have an Origin account).

I used to play Ultima Online, Crusader (top down action game like FO Tactics), among other games. Load up your super old game and you can tell. Memory often stores impressions rather than an exact photo realistic copy of something. Because if we compare strictly from memory, it is very off. I want to remind readers here that in order to do this, you HAVE to run both games side by side (or at least run one game right after another) to make comparison. You really can't craft your own story to the extent that you could with Skyrim, which, I think, translates directly to people not feeling as much of a need to push the boundaries of what character creation can do. Definitely the grim, post-apolocalyptic environment isn't as welcoming to pretty anime elf-princesses, and at the same time, the gameplay itself is much, much more guided in terms of what you can do and what sort of person you can be. The Fallout series, on the other hand, doesn't exactly nurture that sort of mentality. I think people are more apt to go wild with the fantasy aspect of a game like Skyrim, so you see more Mary Sues and more people trying to achieve a flawless, unnatural sort of perfection, and people are less likely to care if it doesn't fit the lore, because you know, it's a fantasy. I'm guessing that's mostly because of the type of appeal these games' worlds have. If you want a character that looks good but blends seamlessly with the rest of the game, and if you want to be surrounded by characters with unique, expressive faces, then Fallout4 is miles better. If you want to make a character look like one of those creepy sex dolls, then sure a fully modded Skyrim has what you need. Probably depends on your idea of a good looking character.
